Our journey through this school year is rapidly approaching its conclusion. We wrap up 2015-2016 with a great sense of achievement. The fab lab is alive and evolving at Dyer School.
Our recent Arty Party Art Show captured the energy that our school has around creativity and innovation. Highlights included:
- Students applying their knowledge of the elements of art to identify staff members dressed as shape, color, texture, line, form, space, and value in a scavenger hunt.
- The creation of a school community sculpture that involved families in using recycled materials to produce an awesome artifact.
- The sale of crayon hearts with 3D printed holders that Crayon Heart Team members developed through a collaborative design process.
- Representatives from our community partner Limitless Child International, the beneficiaries of our fundraising efforts, share about their work. We look forward to developing this partnership in the interest of students’ global awareness and understanding of how they can make a positive impact on the world.
2016-2017 will bring many new opportunities for our makerspace work to be meaningful and replicable. For those of you who have similar projects and passions going on, let’s collaborate!
If you can IMAGINE it, you can MAKE it. Have an innovative summer.
